Neighbors

Working with organizations and groups both locally & globally, we are able to be a blessing to them by helping to meet their needs. And in doing so, we ourselves are equally blessed in return. So, we would like to humbly share with you the organizations that we support and that share our same values, as well as invite you and others to share in the rewarding experiences we've had while partnering with them over the years.

Hope of Life International

Guatemala is home to a people severely affected by poverty, illiteracy, malnutrition, and a need for the Gospel. In the mountains, it is often times the children who suffer the most. Infancy mortality rate is overwhelming, over 70% of children suffer from malnutrition, and as they age, the likelihood that they will complete school dwindles. The needs of these people are great, and at times the dream to change the future of Guatemala seems daunting. However, Hope of Life exists to do just that—help rescue the future generations of Guatemala. Nestled in the mountains of Zacapa, Carlos Vargas has pledged to transform his home country with the same compassionate Gospel that Jesus preached. Through the hard work of staff members and the consistent support of individuals, advocates, and organizations, Hope of Life is accomplishing the vision God granted many years ago… to reach the least of these.

We are pleased to be a part of the partnership between our church, Wilshire Avenue Community Church and Hope of Life International. On each of our trips since having sponsored a village, Colonia Noruega, in 2013; we've helped them build a new wing on their school building, continue to help establish their clean water supply, provide them with a medical & dental clinics and we are establishing a spiritual presence with the help of Verbo church & Elizabeth Moscoso who holds studies for the women & children. And we continue the search for a permanent pastor within the village for their ongoing spiritual needs. We'd love to have you join us on our next trip.
