We'd like to introduce our team and give you a little bit of info about each one. We've listed their job titles and start dates and we've also asked everyone to describe their fellow team members. So let's mingle…
Born & raised in Southern California, Paul now officially considers himself a surfer after self-teaching over the last 2 years. Along with his son Adam, they devote their Saturdays to mastering the waves. In addition to surfing, he logs 20+ miles while running each week. And when he's not running or surfing, he's either on the phone or on the freeway; juggling all of his daily appointments along with several outside commitments including church prayer groups, life groups, and church Board meetings. He moves fast and talks even faster!

Also a California native, Lisa went to school for Fashion Merchandising and over the years has held various positions in the automotive industry, banking, office administration and sales/marketing. She is both analytical (loves to crunch numbers) and creative (designing our ads & website); and after all these years, she still finds it a challenge keeping up with Paul :)

Our other nephew Mike came to us after working with another family member; his great uncle and Paul's uncle Mario at Golden State Foods. Starting with us as a temp, we quickly realized the potential in this beauty! Bitten by the travel bug at an early age however, we just couldn't keep her contained in an office; so after a couple years she set out on the road and now does the writing & coordinating of our e-newsletters and social media posts wherever she may be planted at the moment (the internet really is amazing). San Francisco is her current headquarters location, but who knows where the wind will blow her next…
Team Input: One of the best writers in the world. Excellent communicator. Very thorough in her research. Mind reader; able to take one thought or sentence and create a spot-on interpretation in story form.
A friend of ours from church, Wilson is multi-talented (playing 4 instruments) and a fellow sojourner on our mission trips to Guatemala, acting as one of our lead interpreters. In fact, our June 2017 trip is how we wound up employing him—he came back to a rocky employment situation and we had just been notified that our office administrator was taking another job. So, we decided to give him a shot, and here we are, glad that we did. Outside of work, and playing in the worship band at church, Wilson is quite the adventurer; finding exciting places to hike as well as working on his photography business: Wilson Escalante Photography. (And yes, he was named after the famous volleyball in the movie Castaway.)
Team Input: Calm under pressure, friendly, good natured, aims to please. Very focused with great attention to detail. Willing to do whatever is asked of him, which on some days is a lot; great at multi-tasking.
Ryan comes from a family with several members in the construction trade and he too stepped into the field at the ripe old age of 18. We first met him a few years back while he did some finish carpentry for us as a subcontractor (a job he held for 7 years). Fast forward to the present and his skills & goals combined with our needs & vision seemed to be the perfect match. With a great eye for detail and a commitment to producing a top quality product, we look forward to what the future holds for us. He loves listening to music, riding his motorcycle, and he & his wife are hoping to start a family soon, but in the meantime they've got a four-legged, furry baby. : )
Team Input: Easy going, knowledgeable, friendly. Cares about our customers; if you ask for 100% he does his best to give 150%. Resourceful, always willing to learn and listen. Very calm and a pleasure to work with. Polite & respectful.
Our in-house designer & draftsman comes to us with a fresh perspective and a new way of doing business. Elvis may be soft spoken, but we believe there is a powerhouse being nurtured deep inside (who has conversations w/ himself inside his head). A deep thinker and hard worker, he spends his time outside of work painting, drawing, building models and creating things to share & enjoy. He likes meeting new people and getting to know about them, as well as more about himself.
Team Input: Extremely polite, creative, not afraid to ask questions. Calm and brings a lot to the team; desire to learn more about the business and to incorporate it in his work.
Our teenage son decided to get his hands dirty during summer break and began to learn the family trade. Although his motivation was financial (earning & saving money for his PlayStation & new iPhone), he did a great job jumping in and doing everything that was asked of him: trash collection, materials delivery, demo, and he even helped install a few windows. Overall the experience was a good one for all of us and we look forward to bringing him back next year!
Team Input: He's been around a successful family business since birth w/ 2 hardworking role models for parents and is now following in their footsteps, giving back through mission trips. Gets along well with other team members. Honest, hard-working, eager to learn, loyal. Honest, integral, and hard worker. Spirited & eager. Honest & sincere.
Similar to Paul [and Ryan], Jacob grew up in & around the remodeling trade. He brings a vast amount of knowledge & skills to the table: finish carpentry, framing, drywall, and electrical to name just a few. Jacob fits right in with our mission-minded company, having done a considerable amount of volunteer work in Mexico. We look forward to a long ‘family relationship’ with him, and technically he is a part of our extended family – the grandson of Paul’s mother’s significant other.
Team Input: He has a passion for building and has a drive to always work hard; he’ll always find the next thing that needs to be done. Very resourceful & willing to help out; incorporates his experience within the company. Kind, polite, and cooperative. Great dry humor; loves to laugh.
